uh oh
I disagree :)
My experience from selling campers for 9 years says you are all wet....Ford has the strongest tow vehicle out there..Dodge second...Chevy 3rd. I sold over 900 units...any pulled with a Ford never came back because of towing issues.. Can't say that about the rest..
Fords are stimulus-free and that makes them a-ok in my book.
and just how much moneys do you have into that Bowtie you are driving now !!!
Here we go!!!!! This will get better than any Ole Miss/ MSU thread could ever get!!!
:hesaid:Rofl:cheers2
I had a 1/2 ton chevy tow over 16k lbs and only had 573k miles when I sold it
Had a shop and parts store for 30 years and fords kept me in business
they will do that
Jokes aside, y'all will never convince me that Ford can be beat on towing.
No doubt
I know everyone has their favorites and most are loyal to one brand. But I've owned all of the big three and can only go by personal experience. Had a dump trailer that I'd haul 7 tons gravel. I had a Super Duty that I had to drop to first gear to get up out of the quarry. I traded for a Cummins diesel Ram. The Ram would pull out of the quarry in third and still be accelerating with a full load
Hard to beat the Cummins for pulling and until the Powerstrokes came along it didn't happen. Now the Duramax is out there, big step up for GM. Always been a Chevy man until I started pulling with a work truck and made the switch to the 7.3 Powerstroke and haven't looked back. Only complaint I have with the ford's is the front ends.
Dodge has had one of the best in a pickup for a VERY long time, know of a bunch of them that have passed 500,000 miles, hard to argue with that and Speck hit the nail on the head with the torque, better than anyone else's.
Curious to see how many more miles my ole Stroke will run, sitting on 303,000 rite now, gets 16 mpg pulling my boat and 19 on the road not pulling, bout 15 round town.
You can get a kit now to do this
Powerstroke is it expecially since ford started from scratch and built internal now. Of course a diesel with 300 plus hp and can turn the rpm of a small block gasser and 500 plus ft pound of torque is pretty amazing.
