Sitting here at the urgent team clinic in Batesville with Paul. His left knee is swollen and he can barely walk on it. Hoping they can treat it and get him feeling better asap.

They say it's a nasty gout flare. He got 2 shots in the rear and we're waiting on pprescription to be filled.
Hope when that kicks in he will feel better

Had same problem with left foot 2 week ago. 2 shots and good to go next day. Taking pills daily to slow down uric acid production.
Never tested positive for gout and fought it for years . Could not put a shoe on or even stand for a sheet to be touching it at night . would go to bed fine and wake up with a full blown case . Meds took 48-72 hours to rid me of it . Have been taking 150 mg allopurinol a day now for 15 years . no problems . Alcohol and red meat was bad enough but when they cut out turnip greens and cabbage I went to daily dose . Hope you feel better soon .

Take him fishing......I tell my doctor that when I am out fishing I don't have a pain in my body.....he said well, go do more fishing and cut back on the tylonol.....seriously, hope he recovers quickly.....I understand his pain.....
