That is one fine mess of squirrels.......... a few of them and about 10 other ingredients would make a tasty rice purloo..........:ThumbsUp
I'd like to have that mess of squirrels fried up with some bisquits and gravy!! That's a fine haul on squirrels!!
Man thats a fine mess! Did some checking around here snd there is basically zero acorns. Them buggers are spread out thru the multi kajillion pine trees cuttin pine cones.
Nice mess. You taking head shots with a 22? A few years ago I thought that I would be hot stuff and use my Ruger Mark III hunter with just iron sites. Needless to say I was not as good of a sharp shooter that I thought I was. I did manage to shoot one in the neck.
What the heck is a fish stringer in them squirrels for?
One of the boys uses a stringer and it works great. My old vest tore up , since limit increased to 12 it could not handle the load. Glad to help skin them but did not keep my share. We used shotguns D10 , I was the youngest one and my eyes not that good.
That's a nice mess of tree rats CA.
Interesting. I always cut a branch and ran it through the feet to carry mine. Kinda miss hunting em but I don't like to eat em.
I sure wish I would have been there to help clean those. I would still be working on mine and when I got done it would look like a werewolf with the mange. I can eat a mess of squirrel with anyone. Matter of fact, if there was a such thing as a squirrel eating pro staff, I'd be on it.
Nice.
Don't be tempting me. :Rofl I can handle everything but getting the hide off. I guarantee I have ate more road kill squirrels than anyone in the country. Carol always hates it when I hit one and stop and pick him up. Nothing more deadly on a squirrel than a P235 75R16 to the head.
What's the boot lace trick? Hey nimble if you cook em I will try em. Most one I tried tough and gamey
Same principal. Cut a slit in the feet and string it. Keeps em with their tails over their back and the body stretched out. Makes cleaning easier.
If we have a gathering this next spring, I'll cook some for you to try. I don't do tough squirrels.
Deal kent
Oh my fix and I will eat lol.
My Dad and I went both Saturday and today. Mainly scouting for buck sign, but we did bring in 7 squirrels yesterday and 6 more today. Nice young fryers were out this morning. Gonna try them out tomorrow night! GTT
Man, they were. My mom did it all last night, fried up some good tender squirrel, biscuits & gravy, mashed taters, and fried okra. Had a big ole pile of bones in front of me and crumbs in my beard! Almost ate too much, but quit just in time. Slept good last night! Mama learned from my grandma, Flossie Cox, who raised 5 kids on squirrels, potatoes, and purple hull peas. Flossie always did it right and my mama did it right last night. Don't want to get kicked off of this site, but all I can say is Dam good supper! :) GTT
Nice job Mr Nimrod!!! Good eaten and squirrel tail jig's!!!
