Came home with 39 today! Miscounted, could have had 40 for Mrs. Monk and I. We fished from 12:00 until 4:30 PM. All colors caught fish. Great day on the water!

Yep, this was a fish catching day!
Great report Monk! Sounds like I need to make a trip down that way!!! What was your largest?
It's taken four years, but glad the lake is finally yielding decent numbers and quality fish.
This is encougaging!!!
Ok you talked me into it... I'll give it a go tomorrow.
Good job Monk
Mac we will have to go when I get back in town next week
Redboat got a report for us?
Monk, I am afraid it is a temporary respite. I did well last fall too- 9 straight trips with a limit. I am happy there are some fish there, but I am not catching any small fish- almost like there was a very poor spawn in 2013 and 2014. Friday am, in 4 hours, I caught 40 keepers and only 6 short fish. We'll pay for that in a couple of years.
Same here chief. Very few small fish lately.
Prolong what has took 4 yrs to get back. Go moderated !
Sounds like a nice day out there. i'm planning on going tomorrow as i found out friday the building i'm working at is closed for the holiday.
Went night fishing with my brother a couple of weeks ago and caught a lot of fish. The ratio of keeper/undersized was about 1:1. Probably kept around 40.
Just talked to my Father and the last time he was night fishing with my brother, they went up Beaver Creek. He said the ratio of undersized crappie to keepers was about 10:1. I think that is the last time they go up there night fishing.
