You know there among us. Can't say for sure I have seen one. But have seen the tracks and a small ones tracks also. Cold and wet hunting deer. Can't say what made them, but the three guys with me on the way out of the woods left heading back to town fast.
We have people that will tell you theres no Panthers in Tn. I say Bull donkey, I have seen 3 different ones in 50 years.

Awesome story bro. It's funny that in public the game wardens say there's no panthers but in private they'll tell you they've seen one or more.
The reason is, if they did not deny that panthers are here. They would have to put them on the Endangered list. Plus list them as one you can't shoot. But as it is here in Tn, if it does not have a season to hunt. It can't shoot one as its a fine for shooting an animal that is out of season. I asked TWRA at a meeting about this and that was there answer.
Same as back around 1972 or so, caught a few Stripers that were 20 lbs or better. Called TWRA and was told we did not have those and no one had seen any. Well I asked if they would come out and see the 2 I had in the freezer as if they were white bass I had the record beat by so much its unreal. HAHA When they showed up and got a hands on view of them. Tn then came out later on with a limit for them.
Was also told we did not have Sturgeon anymore that was around 1975. I caught one on a Jumper line that was around 5 lbs. Turned it back and they did not believe I had caught one. Told the man look Its a ticket if I have one in the boat and don't have a Camera. Told me when I caught one again to keep it alive and they would come out and see it and then turn it back. I for one was not going to take that change on that. But did catch 3 more in 1978 and 1980 and 1981. Biggest was around 30 lbs on a Rod and Reel that was a fight.
Was told if they verify sitting of panther's-they will have to commit funds to research. Sighting. I'm pretty sure I saw one.
