Fixing to convert to minnows from cranks. What is your rod length preference for pushing minnows in the fall. I have all three, but like my 12 footers in the fall.

When I started out I said I wouldn't go longer than ten ft. Then I changed to 12 footers and said that's long enough. I was wrong.....been using 14 footers for several years now and love them.
Same as "G". I started with 10s, then 12s, now I use 14s and would never go back. If my boat was a little longer, I would be tempted to try the 16s!!!
We all start with 10s or 12s. Now use 16s. Buy good gear- and you can sell it if you don't like it.
16 ft B' N' M
14's, buy a popular length then you can trade if need be.

I like 14's
2sets of 12's and was happy. Bought a set of 14's and like them the best. My seats sits kinda back in the boat so they help a lot. If I was sitting up on the front of boat don't think I would go away from the 12's myself.
14' capps and coleman--you can't go wrong :)
I use 14 ft and Torch uses 16 ft . Both work great.
12' bnm pst
I use 14's as a rule, but in the Crappie Masters this last weekend, I used 2 14's, 1 16 and 1 20'. I still like my 14's, but having said that, I am thinking about get a couple 16's. The 20' were way too much for me to handle, but it did put that bait way away from the boat. Caught a lot of fish on the 20', but you need to eat your Wheaties to lift it out of the rod holder. Hope I helped you and not confused you. I think most of the guys here like the 14's. Good luck!!!
Talked to Ronnie Capps at Doe's in Greenville where I was privileged enough to join them for supper, and he prefers the BGJP 14's. He said he also uses 16's, but likes the stiffness of the BGJP 14 for hauling slabs out of cover. He said he still likes the 12's if the cover is really heavy.
I use 16's, but I suggest you buy the ones you can see!!!!
I like a 16 foot rod when trolling. like an 8 through 14 foot when fishing other ways.
I have 2 20 footers, I shorted them to 18 foot, still don't like them.
16's for me... I love my ozarks.. Had em for 3years now and havent had a problem
I use 14's. I started with 12's, went to 14's, then to 16's. Now back to mostly 14's. They are the most versatile. Strong, light, and not too cumbersome.
I use 14 n 16. It gets your bait away from the boat further.
I think 14' is the easiest to handle that get the bait far enough away from the boat. 16' BGJP or CC's catch the most fish all year round. When the fish are high in the water column, like 1-2' below the waterline, 20' psts work amazing. They are a bear to handle though, super heavy and you better have a net man with a long net.

Don't get a net man like this one tho. [emoji16]
LMAO. I hear he is a better bowhunter than netman.
Both 16s and 14s from Tony Edgar
Well, there Ya have it. Anything from 10' to 20'. 14's are the most popular
