Been there and done that.....I had the whole kitchen tore out cabinets and all and started back with all new stuff.....did it last year. Your right it was a mess for awhile.

I see they laid the cement board (looks like durock) on the walls above the counter tops on top of the sheetrock - doing it right. Nice.
Bad thing about my wife saving money is it comes from me lol

Thnx guys, I really like how it's turning out . LAWDY I hope it don't lead to more remodeling.
Our house is in a flood zone area flooded 4 times in 40 years. Last September we again were flooded and again house remodeled thanks to FEMA. We aren't done yet, just put carpet in house and waiting on tile for kitchen floor. This is the last time I'm doing this, what a pain but the wife's happy.
