I fished it about a week ago with a spinner bait below the bridge at MLK Ave and had little success catching any crappie. A few perch and a bass but that was it. Anybody know of any sections of the river close to OKC that have crappie? Thanks!

Nope, just perch and a few small bass
Might check out below the meridian bridge, nice looking lay downs etc. Never tried it but I can just dream where they are hiding every time I go over it.
Meridian ave and sw 15 th just north of that intersection
I do not want to anyone's parade but Deep Fork starts at NW 39th and Barnes. SW 15 and Meridian will be the North Canadian River.
Just have to park your car over around I-35 and sooner area. Several places to walk too. Heard there can be some excellent white bass fishing.
Oops glad you clarified Cricket! Looks fishy to me, spoon give it a try anyways!!
Head over to Crystal lake off MacArthur and sw 15 I have caught a few nice one's there
A friend of mine has been fishing that river from meridian to may ave and has been catching hybrid bass and also white bass
Thanks to everyone for the suggestions of trying the Oklahoma (N. Canadian) River and Crystal lake around Meridian. Haven't been yet. Tried to fish the river below the Eastern Ave. dam and caught nothing. Was using worms and targeting channel cats
The eastern damn is only good after a rain or whever the water has risen and fallen , there will be lots of fish trapped in the area behind the damn . If you ever travel that area you will notice quite a few people there at those particular times , there will several fish of all kinds and sizes

I've seen them caught on almost any baits and that's normally when the game wardens will be watching for people snagging game fish .
