Hey that looks pretty good
That's good stuff Slab.
Recipe?
it took you long enough to figer it
Did you work on your car too ? lol :D
This is one way to help get rid of all those end of season tomatoes. They accumulate real fast this time of year, and we only planted a couple plants.
Don't forget the Italian Seasoning. I think it's what makes it!
Nothing but French Bread, cut the long way, buttered, and granulated garlic on top that, then sliced tomatoes, then some garlic salt, and Italian Seasoning on top that. And lastly sliced mozzarella cheese. I also have been putting sliced pepperoni on it lately. I like to throw some more italian seasoning on top the whole thing again too!
Awaiting niece to show up with new caliper for her car. So not today, prolly tomorrow on that one "G".
But I did catch this toothy critter Tuesday!

Caught two days ago on local lake on 6lb test, 12 foot long crappie rod. Then it got rainy yesterday, and cold as heck today here.
Good job on the tooth fish! That bread is making my mouth water!!
I love good health food pics too.............'specially with a miller lite on the side.:cheers2
Slab, you didn't have any problem with the Miller Lites I had in the cooler in the back of my truck at Toledo Bend :). Try that bread with provolone next time instead of the mozzarella, that's what I do.
We normally use Mozzarella, but the funny thing is, in the pic it is Provolone! lol And yep, good too. It was the last of the Provolone too, so you may notice a little American Cheese mixed in there! I found that it gave it a nice change in taste when you came across the American Cheese. If you use American, just use a very little though. One piece I ate was all American cheese, and not as good as the rest.
But Randy, I don't drink beer any more. Not any less though either. Just the right amount! lol
So how did the pike taste ? Or did you let him (her?) go ? Wonder what goes good with pike and tomatoes ?
We caught a couple of them that day, they fight like all heck. And they will fight another day.
They are perfectly edible, but they do have those pesky y-bones. You cut them out and loose a lot of meat, or leave them in and do lots of digging when you eat them, or you can pickle them and just eat them y-bones and all. I prefer to eat Crappie.
Slab i saw a post the last few days about how to fillet pike or jack as we call them here. Those little y bones are bad news but the taste of those fish is something else.
That type bread is why I am so healthy. Some on c.com call me fat. How dare they!
