Fish breader?
What do they call the plastic utensil that has two sides with a sieve in the middle that you put your breading mixture in one side, your fillets in the other, then shake to coat the fish? I have googled it and can't seem to find the correct words to bring it up.

Dunno what they call it.....breading basket maybe.....but Bass Pro Shops have them.

It's called a flip and fry

Cajun Flip N fry can find it on the web come Its round and the lid stays on much better.
The one from Bass Pro is an oval shape and I have always had a hard time keeping the lid snapped on.

Thinking we have 2 of those we never use. Would rather use a 2 gallon Zip Lock bag and shake it. Guy that runs our ABS parts makes these things. Last trip over there, he tried to give me a bunch of them that were seconds. I did not need them so left them there on the table.

I also use the ziplock bags

I like large paper grocery sacks. Just hard to find.

Have also used the brown paper bags back in the day but they are a thing of the pass here in Virginia

I've had one of the BPS breaders for a couple of years and never used it. Got it as a gift but I always used zip locks, or for large frys, just tossed the fish around in a large bowl full of breading. This thread made me get it out and try it and it worked great. I'll be using it more often and it was easy to clean up. I don't dip my fish in egg, milk, mustard or any other thing so that may be why it worked so well with just seasoned corn meal. Used less corn meal, too.
