Weight Rig For Pulling Arkies
I've been experimenting on how to get an Arkie crankbait to run at a depth of a Bandit 300. I found that a 1/2 oz weight on the line 3 ft ahead of the Arkie does the trick. I got the mold from Do-It to pour the in-line trolling weights, like the larger pushing weights. Using 10 ft poles from the front of my boat, I had an Arkie crankbait with the 1/2 oz trolling weight on one side. On the other side I had a Bandit 300. Each pole tip was 1 ft from the surface. At 1.8 mph and with 40 ft of line out, both lines entered the water at the same distance back. Attachment 173210

Precision Trolling book has the charts on Drop Weights, and the BPS keel weights in 1, 2, and 3 ozs. Should give you a fairly accurate estimate of the depth to line out for pulling.
My PTD app doesn't work for the BPS keel weights even tho they're listed, but the chart is in the book.
The app does work for the Offshore Tadpole.
