What temp you smoking at G
Details G, details!!
Whole or trimmed Briskett?
They're good but a whole Briskett is so much better. You do lose some weight when you trim the fat cap down but it pays off. It's cheaper to. lol
Its still has plenty of fat on it
We need details, i want to try to cook one soon
Been on 5 hrs. now , its looking good....just did a mop down and wrapped and its back in the smoker. I researched on google and read a bunch different ways etc. to do it...I kind of combined a couple with my own ideas.....be interesting to see how it turns out. I think its going to be good.
an hour in the wrap and now its unwrapped and in its final stage
Turned out great....really tender and moist also
That looks awesome!!!!!
Don't see no smoke ring around edges of meat
I know....but its got the smoke taste....one reason for lack of smoke ring might be because I used apple wood instead of hickory......its not quite as heavy....dunno, that's just a guess. But anyhow its sure tastes good and I am pleased since its my first one.

Dang that looks good G
Wish you were my neighbor G!!
I would eat that for sure. Looks great geezer.
you can't beat a good brisket!!!
Looks really good G!Great job and it looks like your ideas turned out great!
Good one G. I've never cooked a trimmed brisket before. I've always done the 12-14 lb whole brisket. They turn out so much meat you are forced to freeze most if it.
Excellent job my friend! Looks great. Now I know you can smoke, nothing like a brisket on the smoker. Very nice.
electric smokers dont put out a smoke ring like a wood ,charcoal or gas smoker. They produce a gas that makes the smoke ring in the meat is what I have read online. its the one thing I miss, but as long as the taste is there Im ok.
looks good, gave my neighbor some of the butt i smoked sunday and when i got home from work today he had a masterbuilt sitting on his porch, lol:biggrin
That looks great G. I've got try one.
Looking good G, I have noticed that the apple wood doesn't put a noticeable smoke ring like the harsher woods, but it tastes much better in my opinion than hickory or the others.
Turned out real good G. Now bring me enough for a sammich lol
We need to just have a smoked meat and BBQ eating at fall camp.
Egg don;t need power LOL Just about 6-7 pounds of lump charcoal and some Pecan wood
Yep, but for what that Egg costs you could buy a fleet of Masterbuilts:Rofl Don, you get your egg repaired?
I've been thinking of coming down Yall's way for a good fishing trip for a while, but with all the briskets, ribs and Rees's,chicken quarters sounds like the eating might be better than the fishing.:biggrin
The eating is ALWAYS good at every camp.
