nice platter full think the dove hunters left my area got an 80 acre corn field across from house made silage out of it last week saw lots of doves thurs and Friday nothing but honkers sun and mon prolly did not hear that many shots yesterday??
Boy and I managed limits by 1130. Little girl did well with the new dog. Lost 0. Saw a surprising number of big flocks over 20. Really struggled with the 10 plus flock coming at us 6 foot high. Used a robot dove for the first time. Kinda seemed to work, but birds really wanted in the spot we were at.
This is after the evening shoot after a 1000 dove day. With 'bird boy' Rafael. Fun trip- Rotating 2 berretta 20 gauage autos blasting away. I'm going back.http://www.crappie.com/crappie/attac...d=172633&stc=1

It was a good opener hunted four hours in the evening ended up with 31 Doves for four guns.

More doves than I have seen in this part of Kansas in a long time. Done in short order. They were sucking right in to the mojo. It was ridiculous how they worked them. My 4 yr old daughter tagged along as an obseerver. Everybody limited and the dog got some work. Also saw prairie chickens and a covey of quail. 100s of birds in the field when we left. They are going to hunt it again tomorrow, I have to work.
