New materials Swap Box

This is a sign up for a new swap box round. If interested post with an “I’m in” and then please send me a PM with your User name, Name, mailing address, home phone and a regular email address. There were problems in the past and I want to have alternate ways to reach everyone. This information stays with me and no one else will receive it.

Would like to keep the turn around time to 3-4 days per person
Take 5 to 6 items and replace with equal value of items taken, if you wish to put in more than the 5-6 items that is your choice. Please have clean furs or feathers in Zip lock bags, this is especially true in the case of any powder paint!!
Post when you receive and send the box
Post what you took and what you put in, post photo’s if you have the ability to do so
Once the swap starts anyone having any problems, please let me know!! Communication is very important

Here is what I will be putting in to help get it started. On the horsehead jigs, 3D eyes and maribou I’m putting in please don’t take all of them, spread them around!!

Would consider joining but last time I did a swap with a different group, USPS destroyed the package I mailed and lost most of the contents. Being the person I am, I raided my supplies and bought a bunch of stuff to make it up resulting in a net loss to me. Good luck guys and I strongly suggest starting out putting everything in a mesh laundry bag before packing it. Address the Laundry Bag with your address just in case USPS destroys the package. at least this way all the contents will stay together and being addressed stand a chance of getting back into the system.

Ok all since all slots are open lets get this box rolling!!! Just a recap of the rules for the box:

Box is packed and Crappiepappa is up first!! The box will go out tomorrow, cost is roughly $20 with insurance. If you feel it needs a bigger box down the line change it over to a new one. When you receive the box PM the next person in line for their address, if there are any problems please let me know. As soon as I have the tracking number I'll send a PM letting you know what it is.

It took me all weekend to decide what I would like to take out and share, so it was not an easy decision. Here is a list of what I removed from the box: A plume of white and a plumb of Flou. green Maribou, a pack of 1/16 horseheads, blue paint, a strand of pink/green/black chenille, a pack of hot orange pseudo herl, a piece of purple herl, and a small bag of what I think is dyed pink rabbit zonker. What I sent in box was a container of candy red, candy blue, and candy purple paint, 3 bags of 1/8 minnow head with #2 sickle hooks, a 100 cnt. pack of 1/32 round ball (don't know the size of hook), a calf tail, black deer tail, a stick of dubbing wax, a couple of more turkey feathers, and a spool of some kind of small wire that I cannot figure out how to use!!!

Box will be in the mail tomorrow headed for QPassage.

LOTS of feathers and down in the box. there are some very nice looking breast and wing feathers, I just gave up trying to make them look like something a fish would want to eat!! :yikes

Hope you all need chenille cause I tossed in a bunch, other things I added were 3d eyes, red fox, muskrat, and some fish hair.

If anyone needs to use a bigger box for the swap - they can still be shipped priority mail. After seeing what Q put in I imagine it's getting pretty tight!!.

I was on a material swap a few months back on another site and some of you may be aware of the troubles we had mid swap. That being said I'm just a little shocked "after checking the tracking" that our postal service hasn't delivered the box yet. Especially since I mailed it at my main Louisville Post office hub that usually means a day earlier delivery. I guess my question is, is 2 day priority mail now 4 day maybe mail? Nothing with anyone here just really ticks me off with the USPS dropping the ball all the time. I'll probably make an inquiry today and ask a few questions at the main hub again today. Sorry for the rant they just really get under my skin.

I know you shipped the 26th but it got there shortly after midnight the 29th, so it was just over 2 days, and it did go on what the USPS considers the weekend. Tracking shows it's out for delivery to kickingback. 16 days for 4 people is pretty good.

I had to go to Dallas for the day today but will be home tomorrow to pack my items in it and mail it back off. I will send it out on Tuesday afternoon. If the next person on the list will send me their address to expedite that will help. Thanks.

Hey guys, I had an emergency in the family and couldn't get the box out until today. It is on it's way to SFCCannon 2 day USPS. Should get there Saturday for sure.

Here is what I took out. There are LOTS of jig heads like the ones I got if someone else needs them too. I pull a few of the 1/32 ox jig heads also. Left a bunch.
