The freshmen QB looked good.
Both teams look pretty solid and evenly matched. SC could not play with either one of them at the current level, but the HBC did not get where he is by losing ball games. We will see how much he can turn it around.
This one is still a toss up. Y'all can go ahead and take Gurley out for a couple of weeks when you get a chance. I don't want to see him at Williams Brice.
HBC will turn things around. Gurley is a man and it takes a big hit to take him down.
No such thing Strmwalker. I sat through every one of the 0-21 season and many more before that. All my family are Gamecocks starting with my brother who graduated in 1960 to me and both of my sons(92 and 95). We are a Gamecock family through thick and thin. I am just being realistic after seeing us fall on our face Thursday night. I am confident we will right the ship, but I'll be there either way.
Good grief, Gurley is something else. Gotta answer Tigers!
Looks like the tigers have laid down on both sides of the ball. I don't understand the little short runs they keep trying to run??
It's over!!
In you own words Jimmy, "call in the dogs and pee on the fire" its over for the Tigers.
Now maybe the tiger and cocky can go have a beer together.....:cheers2
Where is Jimmy, m i a?
Gurley is one of those rare running backs that get stronger and stronger as the game goes on. We've all had a few, but he is the man of the moment.
Well, Stumpy may have a point. This is starting to look like the Carolina game.
You know, crying in their beer together :)
:Rofl:Rofl you got that right !!! but here is Jimmy !!!

Before y'all go to bed watch another SEC title contender LSU(13) take on Wisconsin(14) now on ESPN. LSU has the nation's top rated running back, Leonard Fournette, on the field. Should be a good game. Love college football season.
It's just a college football game, unless you lost a pile of money on a bet, it doesn't really mean anything. Having teams disappoint me is a thing of the past, my love of fishing and being outdoors fuels the fire that burns inside me. If the money hungry schools that make up all of college athletics don't soon change their way, the passion that drives the fans will diminish leaving the stands empty, and TV's turned off. Pro sports have driven tickets and concession prices so high that the everyday fan can't afford to go to a game. College sports are now doing the same thing. I made my mind up last year that I will never attend another game, nor will I fore-go an opportunity to go fishing or spend time with love ones over seeing a game. It just seems to make life easier and less stressful for me.
Well I agree on the high dollar tickets. When it started costing over $100 for the two of us to go to game I started watching on TV. Money drives everything it seems today, but I still love to watch college football.
Just saw where Taz Boyd and Conner Shaw were both cut today in this round of NFL cuts.
I agree Tim, this year it just doesn't really matter to me what happens. I don't gain anything from a win or loss. The NFL loss me a few years ago and I haven't even watched a game since.
you are so right ink i use to go to a lot of nascar events back in 80s thats when the prices for a seat started going up and up till i could not aford it and just quit going even a good collage football game will cost a person over $500 and some of alabamas games will run over $630 to walk in the gate onless you get the nose bleed seats and all the players look like a bunch ants running around i do like it on thes new big tv now days
I have to credit my wife with putting things in perspective for me. When I was working, after our boys got in their teens and did not demand so much of our attention I dusted off my golf clubs and started playing golf again. One Saturday after a particularly bad round I came home in a bad mood and proceeded to mess up her day. She told me in no uncertain terms that, first she never objected when I spent the morning playing golf, and second, I was never going to make a living playing golf, so if I could not find a way to just enjoy the opportunity to be able to do things like golf and enjoy the fellowship of friends then I needed to find something else to do, because she was not going to put up with me coming home in a foul mood and snapping at everyone.
I thought about it and realized she was 100% correct and I've tried to change how I react to things like a bad golf round, a fishless fishing trip or my favorite team not playing well. Sure has made life a little more pleasurable when I learned to take things for what they were and not make a big deal over things that really did not matter in the bigger scheme of life.
I don't always succeed but I seldom get upset over stuff that really doesn't matter all that much. If I did I would probably give up fishing instead of just enjoying being out in God's great world.
I agree with you and Stumpy Tim. All I NEED to see is Ga beat Clemson and SC and I'm good for the year. And I'm already half way there.:biggrin :biggrin Come on cooler weather. I got deers to kill and fishes to catch.
That game got ugly in a hurry. It was a great half of football and then the Tigers stayed in the locker room for the second half. No offense at all lead to a gassed defense and Gurley put on a dang clinic. Those other backs are good too! Chub ran over about 6 players on his way to the end zone and he's a dang true freshman.
