Not Crappie but still a Boost for the Ecosystem
Went to dam #2 on the arkansas river this morning. Looking for stripers, but kept snagging these dang asain carp, they were stack in like cordwood and would hook up with every cast with a crankbait. It was fowl hooking them. Each fish took at least 15 minutes to land due to medium action gear and the current, plus their size! Got broke off alot! But still fun!

I know that an Asian exportation business man is talking about setting up shop in southeast Arkansas. They want to set up a fish processing plant for Asian carp. I guess the way it would work is that commercial fisherman would bring the Asian carp to the fish processing plant. The plant would then export the fish to their markets over seas. The experts are saying that the only way to thin them out is to create a market for them. Some people are trying to rename then to "silver fin" in an attempt to reduce the negative stigma associated with them. Hopefully it works.
