I just received my order of two new Lowrance HDS 12's today. I can't wait to get these out and learn how to use. I am replacing my Humminbird 998c for theseAttachment 172158. If anyone is up to giving some lessons I am willing to listen. First look is the structure scan transducer looks huge. I hope this purchase will help me locate the fish easier.
Make sure you put the latest update (3.0) in them. I did my two today.

Well we know who has deep pockets, or maybe had deep pockets. LoL I hope they give you years of service, I really like my lowrance, especially the down scan, It really makes it hard for the people to hide them brush piles on ya. I know you will like the set up you have once you get acquainted with it.

I can help ya with a lot of the questions you'll have with those new units. Ive been using Lowrance for decades. JW is a bit more technical, but I can hold my own with em. I have some good video teaching tools on the Lowrance made by a guy ( Frasier Wilson) that used to be on the Lowrance technical support team. There are a total of 4 videos. He is VERY technical on how to use the Lowrance units, and he also makes a brand of cleaning products that are awesome on boats and a screen cleaner for fish finders that is unreal.

Good units you have. Watch out crappie pro never say always cause I see you finally listened and got you some spiderloks he he he. Hey BRM I never got them videos from you. I think you just trying to hold out on me, besides I can't hold a candle to what you know on the depth finders so ted listen to BRM. The cleaner he sells is the bomb though. I gotta keep some kinda edge on these goobers since they out fish me. Congrats.

I found out there was another video in the number 4 set that explains the side imaging. I haven't watched it yet. I watched to bonus video on how to install the units, but I already knew that part. Didn't look to see if there was another video behind that one. I never saw the videos that Greg had either. Are they good?
