WOW!!! Eventful night at Badin our our night stalk

A ski boat playing loud music came flying up the lake at 35-40 mph and plowed into a boat house and pontoon docked. Destroyed the side of the boat house and nice pontoon. We reeled up our gear to go help. Yep. Hit and run. Cannot believe the boat is still floating. They Turned off lights and left somehow. Davidson county sherif came and said the water was out of his jurisdiction. Montgomery county said the same thing and wouldn't come. taney ounty game warden came from other side of Stanley couny and had to geths boat. Put in and was there within an hour whie the two other conties couldnt figue it out. Game warden was great.

Dang Newly I'm sure glad he didn't get close to you guys fishing. Running that fast at night......got to wonder. Looks like some fine badin slabs there bud.

alright guys and gals I see there has already been 57 views so here is what I think we need to do. Lets get this pick out on Facebook and where ever else we can to try to catch these idiots before they kill someone or themselves. I don't see how they even got the boat off of the pier they hit. Lets share this everywhere and if anyone hears anything you can contact me if needed. Lets get this out to all of the marine repair places so they can notify the police. These people need to be caught and deal with what they have done like adults and not cowards. this was one of the wakeboard boats and there has to be significant damage from the way the pier was damaged. Thanks to the Wild life for coming out and really trying to help with finding the boat and cowards that done this. These people are what make it unsafe on the water at night. fishing was getting real good. Started catching good fish right before the all of the fun started.

Game wardens caught them this morning. They said someone else took boat for a joyride at first but then confessed.

Next time I go fishing with u guys let me know if were going to be detectives or fishermen.I hvnt ever in my life seen it so difficult to get law enforcement to come out to the seen of a crime.thanks to the wildlife for being on the job.other than that had a great time jus wished my end of the boat caught some of the better fish.thanks for letting me hang out for all the excitement

I bet it was Monk. Badin is one lake you don't want to fish a lot during the day in the summer. the boat traffic is terrible. But i do love fishing Badin when you can find the fish.

I have to ask, For the past two summers I've noticed IMO that it is not so much the youth (younger than say 20 yrs. old) that are doing the crazy things but the adults that should know better. Dose anyone know their age range?

Not sure that of age but I think I will have to agree with you on that one. I do know that they were old enough to know better than to just leave. I think there was a lot more going on than they were telling.

I definitely think there was coming down the lake at 1 am with radio blaring.then when we heard the smack radio cut off lights went out heard boat fire bk up and we turned all our lights on so they could see us hoping they wld nt hit us as they fled the seen heading to there house
