When I lived in Reno they had a big ballon race there every year. That's a awesome site to see just after daylite, 35/40 of those things lifting off.

"Balloons Over Grenada", its become an annual event. Had live entertainment and a carnival and some flea market type vendors.

reese u just made my wife cry,lol.She loves hot air ballons.We went to bowlinggreen,ky in 2006 and went balloning,it was an adventure forsure.Had a chase truck cause u dont know where ur gonna land,landed in someones yard and they didnt act real happy,lol
There's an international balloon race in Natchez each year, lasts several days. I got to crew one and ride in it during a race event. The rest of the time I flew the SO helicopter, Adams Air 1, as a safety cover to keep the balloons and ground crews together. The after race hospitality rooms were fun too!!
That would be fun, they had tethered rides for the public but it was a joke, basket weren't any higher than the top of the balloon beside the one they were letting folks get in. Would really like to take a real ride!!Quote:
