Hey. I am just returning to Crappie.com after a LONG absence and so I will seem like a new guy to all of you. But I would like to participate in the swap if that's OK. I have been tying flies and hosting swaps on the FTF for a good many years, but I have not tied all that many jigs. But I would like to give it a try, if that's OK with you guys.

Pack each in a small plastic bag or similar packaging, put all of those in a larger plastic bag that is labeled with your name along with a self addressed stamped envelope and mail the whole package to the host. When host has all participants packages he/she will repack one of each jig in the SASE's and mail back.

I just hate to see a swap with only 8 tiers so I'll jump in. I don't know how far out of the box I can tie a jig but I'll give it a go. Maybe I can come up with something you all can use.

I finished tying mine this afternoon, they'll be in tomorrow's mail. Here's a peek at it. This is about as "Out th' box" as I can get I guess.

It's got a new body material I've started using, a head painted with 2 of my own mix's, a color combination in the tail that has been a great Fall mix and the blade is powder coated with my version of Ruby Slipper & heat treated.

I have my set ready to go into the mail. Since the theme is "Outside The Box" I did something different. I have tied woven body flies for trout & bluegills but not as a jig. I've never seen a woven body jig, but that's what I tied. Hope you guys like them.

I am having problems getting my salt water hackle to do what I want but I'll get it! trying to get it all streamlined when its tied in but by the time I get done it looks like Phyliss Dylers hairdo!

typically, it is tied jigs. but I have received some jigs with plastics cast over them.

It also depends on what kind of swap it is. Whoever starts the swap can make the call on what kind of jigs to make or tie.
