I heard all there is up there is asian carp no crappie. They said the bite in Shelbyville will probably be the best of the year for the next 2 weeks or so, glad Im going to be there.
You are just upset that I won't be there for you to abuse, or to cook for me! Make sure my neighbors are mowing my yard. I don't care if you take credit for it, or give the credit to them!
: OH this is better I can abuse you here and not have to feed you..:biggrin:Rofl:Rofl
So mean...
i didnt use to be that way until about a year ago
Stumpjumper1 does have that affect on people!
Is Stumpjumper the owner of the Lodge?
yes
Mike, keep that hammerhead in line until I get back and then you can take a break. If you see him with binoculars, call Sharon and get him back to his own place!
Flow and level was just getting real good and now it's coming back up a bit. Last two trips the past two Fridays have resulted in 12 crappie each trip. Had 30 jumbo gills 2 weeks ago but couldn't catch a single one last weekend. Crappies we got were all over and not more than a couple out of a spot
Thanks heath_88, I was hoping you'd been out. I'm going to focus from the Apple north, I suppose. I leave those river gills alone.
Went for a quick recon run tonight. Too much flow!!! She's dropping and slowing, but might be a long few days for us. Oh, one monster doggie and a nice flat kitty but no desired quarry...
it will get better, be a good time to practice with Pam loading the boat
Not in this current. I freaked her out tonight when I was downstream from the trailer at a 90 and hammered it and cranked it hard at the last second. She was stunned when I kissed the boat in. I'm actually thinking of not fishing tomorrow and surprising mom at her chemo appointment. Nothing says loving son more than showing up at your chemo appointment!
good for you
You will make your mom happy there Jeff.
Enjoyable days fishing, but not many crappies came over the side. More flat kitties than anything. Spent time with my folks and took them to eat at my old stomping grounds of Manny's Pizza in Savanna. One day, I was doing 16 mph over the speed limit just outside of Bellevue, when I was pulled over. Thankfully, he called it in and came back and said, "Slow down for me" and never even gave me a warning. Absolutely made my week! The picture is from the bluffs above Bellevue looking to the north.
