Fish for them often. Love it. Cook the Red Fish on the grill on the half shell with smoke!!
Headed down with my brother in law , he lived down there for 20 years. Hopefully he knows a few spots.
fished for them most of my life but am hooked on wading inshore for flounder going to Christmas bay in October for the flounder run caught one in 89 that almost beat the Texas state record GOOD LUCK on your trip!!!

I am by no means the local expert but live shrimp seems to be most used...small croakers may land you some trophy specks, and eliminate the hardheads I believe cocahoe is also quite popular.Quote:

Sure do! Here's a big bull red I got last year. Attachment 171398 caught it on a spinner. the gulp shrimp seem to work well on the specks, once you locate a school of them it's fast and furious.Quote:

Run your GPS when you go out. Everything down there looks the same. In a lot of places you will have to come out the exact same way you went in. Especially if you're looking for reds in the ponds.
