Explain the significance of the light blue area indicated by the green arrow...
Why did the processor paint this "significant area" in the SI image like this ...??

Ok Rickie I'll give it a WAG. I'm going to say the barge is fractured there, it shows on the other side too. Maybe not :biggrin.
Old mooring line off sunken barge. I see the top of a bollard at the end of line.
Dang, U guys good.
What's this dark spot?
The whole side of the barge is basically darker indicating a shadow except for this area. I would say it was something higher than the edge of the deck....buckling maybe?
RICKIE,THINK THE DUCER SIGNAL IS PARTLY PENETRATING LIKE A AREA WHERE IT CAN MAKE THE SIGNAL HIT GROUND AND COME BACK, KOSMO A SHADOW WHERE GROUND IS SLIGHTLY LOWER CAUSING A LIGHT SHADOW,WHEREAS IF IT HAD BEEN A DEEP HOLE WOULD BE NO PENETRATION AND WOULD HAVE BEEN DARKER:dono
Maybe a big dent from being hit?
Rickie I can see that the hull seems to be buckled on the left side just across from the return in the shadow. Could this have something to do with it?
kosmo I would say that is dug out bottom from where it was going down...just a guess though.
Here's a blowup of the nose of the barge...
You can, indeed see the fractures on the both sides...

It would be my guess the barge sank nose 1st ... (in 30' of water)...
This could definately have pushed the nose of the barge into the lake bottom enough to create a depression in the lake bottom where the barge hit nose 1st...(to answer kosmo's question of the dark spot under the barge's nose)...
So the light blue area indicated in the OP is where the side of the barge is fractured...and a wide enough fracture to allow the sound pulse to pass thru the side wall of the barge...

Where do I pick up my prize?
Unbelievable how good you guys are! If I saw this personally, I would have said, it was just a glitch in my graph of something, and thats only if the line had caught my eye. Way to pay attention details!
Here's a shot at a longer range that will help to get a better perspectivehttp://i826.photobucket.com/albums/z...pse0b3faf7.png
I've got to find some structure like that!! That's a good shot!
