You should be able to enter the e mail address under the contact name and choose that as to where to send to .... or you can fill in the e mail address as the recipient you want to send it to when composing.
For ex. on my phone when texting in the (To: ) field I can enter... [email protected] ... as who I'm sending the text to and it goes to their e mail account.

I just hit the email button on mine then hit the compose symbol......type in email addy.......then type my message and send
Not asking about an email, asking about texting to a email address. We could do it between his iPhone and my iPad. The emailing works fine. May just work between Apple stuff. My iPad is wifi only.Quote:

Steve Google texting to an email using android, may have to download an app but it can be done.

I think that's just a short cut to sending a email and its not really a text......and that will not work on my Galaxy S3....when I try it it asks for a phone number.....so I have to just go the regular email route to do that.Quote:
