Do they make a 36 volt battery so,that you can just use 1 battery on a 36 volt trolling motor instead of 3 batteries? This was a comment I heard recently. Just wondering if they new what they were talking about. The only 36 volt battery I could find was for Dewalt tools.

All my affluent buddies that have 36 volt trolling motors have three batteries. One of my friends has the light weight ion jobs that are mega expensive, but he's still got three!
I didn't think so. Just thought I would ask the experts. Lol. Didn't try to "discuss" it. This person comes up with some crazy stuff sometimes. It just makes you go "HUH" at times.
yes they do. some gold cart batteries are 36 vdc and some airplane batteries are 36vdc, some electric bike also, google it, you will see.
Would need a special charger, I assume, if they have 36 volt batteries.

not the small batteries, they wont do squat, seems like I seen a big battery in the dozer/ the neighbor had.it was 24 or 36 vdc,
OK let me clarify yes they do make a battery that is 36 volts. BUT it is so big and heavy you couldn't fit it in the boat unless you wanted to mount it in the center floor board and it weighs like 400lbs. They use them on heavy equip. and aircraft
Thanks. That is what I figured. Maybe something for heavy equipment. Not for trolling motors. Maybe a BIG a!! Trolling motor. LOL:yikes
Yes they make 36v batteries for trolling motors. They weight 29lbs not 400lbs. yes you need a special charger. yes they cost over 2K not including charger. god knows how long they will last they are a brand new technology.

the real question is why? if you need a 36v trolling motor you must have enough room for 3 batteries. if you only hvae room for 1 battery i would assume you have a smaller boat and therefore can get away with a 24 or even a 12.
Ok now that you got a 36v troller and 3 batteries for that you are gonna have to add a 4th battery to start the motor and run the electronics.. So the troller don't put interference on your screens. Right?????
So now ya gotta get a bigger boat to haul all that around.......so now ya need a bigger troller.........it never ends..
