Thats it John. Hummingbird has some filters too you can put on your wire to eliminate interference.
That looks like a headache, like G said, I would try the filter first. They're not expensive and are easy to install.
Rickies Daducer bracket is the ticket for mounting a ducer away from motor.
Filters don't work and hummingbird knows it. I've had people tell me to wrap motor with copper wire. It's a bad transducer design. The us2 is a joke also

He is the guy that designs and makes the stuff on the website I put the link up to, he's kinda an electronics guru of sorts, does all kinds of tests on the depth finders.
I've not had a problem with my U2 and HB on the front. Matter of fact I have 2 that I swap on the front and no interference on either one.
