White Oak Lake 7-29-14

Not too hot, not too windy.........just right to jerk a perch out of the old tall tree hole. And that's what my Dad and I did this morning. 14 total. We had a fun morning, and that's what really matters.

He had me down 7-6, until I caught this one near the boat ramp just as we were about to quit for the day. Tied him up right at the end! Caught that one on a "screamer" Bobby Garland color.

Were you on upper or lower White oak? My Daddy use to own Nicks Landing on upper white Oak years ago.

We were on the upper lake. The lower lake was drained DRY and is just now refilling. You can fish lower, but you can't keep any crappie at all. I don't remember Nick's Landing. Must have been before my time. We moved to Camden in 1983 and the bait shop there then was called Jack's Landing. There is no bait shop there now. The old building is now a community church. GTT
