Nice box of bugs!!!!!!!!! (whispering to myself "you will not get into plastics you will not get in to plastics!!!LOL)
You have some beautiful color combinations in your tacklebox, you really have a great skill for making plastics, and your baits really are great fish catchers.
A little kids dream box!!
As a rule I am a profile/bait action sort of crappie angler. Color comes next. But this bug is so life-like in size and over-all appearance that I had to try the mold. I did get my hands on the original proto-type of this bait which was about 3/8" shorter and proportionally narrower. Those baits were made in watermelon green with some black flake and I smoked crappies and sunfish using them. I haven't been on the real water with these new ones yet, but I have been fishing them just about every morning on the river behind our house for 10-15 minutes just about the time the sun rises over the horizon. Bugs keep me from spending any longer there fishing, but even in that short span each day I do amazingly well on crappies, sunfish, smallies, rockbass and even a couple walleyes in the 17-18 inch range.
The mold is fun to shoot and it shoots super easy. For me the colors are my challenge.
ctom are you using the dual injector on them or are you using a laminate plate or are you just filling the cavities and shooting them again anyway they look fantastic.
I use a spoon to fill one side then inject the other Bob.
Great bait. If you ever sell any, I'd be buying.
Good luck with them.
really nice baits ctom I love the ones you sent me they work great and very durable!!!
