Hot Afternoon Fishing
My 3 year old wanted to brave the heat and go fishing. I decided to chance bluegill so he could get some fast action. The wife also went and we had a great evening at Lake Conway. We managed to keep 17 after lots of tangled lines, baiting hooks and getting caught in the Lillie pads. The smile on his face on every fish caught was awesome. I love his excitement. Look out crappie tournament when he gets a little older. Attachment 169433Attachment 169434Attachment 169435Attachment 169437Attachment 169438

Looks like you made the little fella's day... Mom seemed to have enjoyed also...good job!!!!

Good job! I wish I would have started taking mine that early. I'm sure he had fun and will want to do it again and again.
-
It makes it hard now to do some serious fishing because he wants to go every time the boat is hooked up. It will pay off hopefully one day.
-
glad u and the family had a fun day together! wtg!!!

-
great job dad! way to make some memories, just don't let a GW spoil the next trip and get ya for no life jacket on the little one!
-
I always wondered if the boat was not in motion is a life jacket required?
-
Children under the age of 13 must wear a well-fitting PFD at all times while aboard a boat. The only exceptions are within the enclosed area of a houseboat, cruiser or within the railing of a party barge while the boat is not underway.

Thanks for posting! Great pics!

Man, you can have some quick fun when the gills cooperate. Those look like they're nice and fat. They get kinda skinny down here at White Oak in the hot summer and we leave them alone and strictly crappie fish during this time of year. Bluegills make for some good eating, second only to crappie, in my opinion. Nice going, Dad. GTT
