Scattered , fished a couple days ago and caught them in 14-20 ft deep
Brenda and I went "cruising" yesterday. We only saw two fishing boats actually trying to fish on Big Sandy. Lots of pleasure boaters burning gas though.
The 2 fishing were out from Mansard Island probably on the main channel drops.
What happened to the weekly fishing report that use to be on here? Is there another place to find it?

i do,underwater lights and fish deep drops.i do ok,but usually do better during the day.will u be using lights if u try it at night
Yes. What do you consider deep? I have only been to the lake the last two years for vacation so I don't know the area real well..I usually take the kids out to swim during the day then motor around to find places to fish.
i usually like 16-28 ft drop myself and if theirs a hump or a bend in the creek channel close to the drop that helps.also look for fish around the powerlines if its gonna be a calm nite:fish when are u gonna be there

We get minners at JBs market at hwy 218 and hwy 69a junction. Theys are minner counters and are foreigners who can't count above 10.
Can't think of the name but the store beside pizza pro on hwy 79 gives really good counts on their minnows. The last three times I've been in there I paid for three dozen and prolly got five each time, also Ford's on 79 sells hers 3 dozen for a dollar. Minnows are kinda small but can't beat the price.

Ended up with ten keepers this morning. Going to give her hell again tomorrow morning. Fish were around 8fow in 12fow.

It took a few more than ten and I got them at mansard island. Tried Kriks and they did not have any.

Only two keepers this morning. Tried the same spots then some deeper ones. Only four fish between the boy and I.
The boy backed out on me today. Caught more fish today but only three keepers. Lost a real nice black crappie at the boat 13+.
I been out boat riding. Didn't see anyone fishing. I got me new Ranger muddy today. Polaris Ranger that is. Too hot to fish. Brenda weed eated.
I have been out till about Ten. then the kids are calling ready to swim.
Got out before the rain and had the five year old grandkid with me. Only caught five before the rain started. Attachment 170416
Caught about 50 fish over the few mornings I fished with 17 being big enough to keep. Found a few more areas to try next time and hope to make it down there to fish in some cooler weather.
We went riding yesterday (sat). Rode up to budweiser beach from pump house. I didn't see any fishing going on. got wet.
