I went back yesterday and fished the areas I caught on Thursday. I kept 11 sacs. 9 where whites, 1 black, and 1 racing striped. Threw back a few babies too. I caught them shallow 10 inches deep on 3 to 8 fow. Some where in spots I catch them during the spawn. I brought my gopro and made a movie. Once I figure how to post it I will. My batteries went dead after the second fish. Lesson learned. Its a shame cus in one spot I caught 5 back to back as soon as the cork hit the water. I would of loved to of filmed that. I did get to film the big crappie that has gotten of on my last 3 trips in the same spot. Sucker got off again. I am thinking of using a treble hook in that spot next trip...lol. It was nice fishing in the shade for a change. I found an old chair umbrella my parents bought for their tracker back in 93. It has never been used. I called them and said since yall haven't used it in 21 years I am stealing it...lol. Works good just has a little rust. I slept in today planning an afternoon trip to the Calcasieu but it was just too hot today. I even loaded the boat then went inside and thought how nice the ac felt and unloaded the boat.
