Hey Robert, thanks for the invite. I am sitting here with the temp 98 degrees trying to talk myself into going out and setting the boat up to pull up there. Asked a couple of buddies but neither could make it so yea I would love to fish on the USS Remus. We can maybe plan our striper trip, they are down the lake now.
Need to know what time and I agree with you about the heat. Suit me to come off around noon or so.

Started off windy, but settled down. Frankie and I brought home 86 white perch and one crappie. I think John and Carolyn threw 10 or 12 in with ours to make 86. It was good to see everyone this morning. Hope we can do it again soon.
Dawgg, You in trouble now. SHE said her name is KARALYNN. Wish this crazy as# court system would get it right once in a while. She will be back soon and ready to show ya'll how it is done.

After dragging out of bed at 4:30 AM I got to the ramp at Ebenezer just in time to meet FishFinder (Craig) and Uncle Remus(Robert) in one of his 3 pontoons. He gets a fleet discount on his taxes. Got enough boats to start his own Navy!!
It was a bit windy and quite a bit cooler than I expected and wondered if my shorts and t shirt was enough, but it turned out to be a great weather morning starting with this sunrise. :ThumbsUp

We dropped down some minnows, excuse me....minners, and stated catching perch almost immediately. Craig set the bar too high by catching one over a pound on his first drop. I released two that would have gone 2 pounds so they can get bigger. We went to work trying to clean out all the small ones and did a good job of it catching a ton of 1/2 pound fish. We would have won too, except Craig did not know about the no green carp rule and pulled this feisty 2 pounder in on a crappie rod.

We figured that disqualified us so we quit counting at 87, or something close to it. :Rofl
We pulled out at noon and I had to head back to Columbia for an afternoon commitment. Probably won't have to rock me to sleep tonight. Maybe a Scotch on the rocks though.......hmmmmm.
Anyway a great time with the upstate guys and thanks to everyone, especially Remus, for inviting me.

I figured by now the one that got away from Sea Ray must weigh 3 pound by now!!!:Rofl Next time please remind me of the no green carp rule before we leave the landing and I will make sure to shake them off before they get into the boat!:bash. sorry I didn't get chimed in yesterday I had a serious meeting with a not used enough in 3or4 days piece of furniture in my house called a bed that I crawled in right after church and didn't come out till after 10 this AM
so hear goes our rise and fall to fame and glory.
Ray Craig and me mostly Ray and Craig had 52 perch not counting Rays well I'll bedang that weighed 2lb. 17and 1/2 oz. that Craig and I didn't see just heard :dono then within minuets an awe $#!t I did it again
that weighed more then the I'llbedang :dono Craig and I didn't see it ether we just took Rays word for it :biggrin we thought for sure we had won the turkey with 52 nice perch especially with Craigs over a lb'er and the big i'llbedang and several awe $#!ts that Ray cought. then Craig showed up with a green carp and of all things -- he put it on the toon with us and Ray took his picture for evidence -- so when Bigdawgg and John saw the pic they disqualified us for illegal evidence == besides they had already ate the turkey == and the peanut butter and jelly sammages and drank all the diet dr. pepper. so with nothing to eat and nothing to drink we left the perch jerk dragging our rods behind us. :Rofl :Rofl
