Well....dadgummit....I hate that for ya. How in the world did you do that ?
I really don't know. It started hurting and swelling yesterday. Went to urgent care and got an X-ray this morning. It's broke in the same place as last fall but the break is further apart this time . Thinking that the easy breaks might have something to do with diabetes.
Dang man, you got to take care of yourself. Get the swelling down and then you can go feshin', that's what I did. Crushed both mine in a hydraulic lift over 20 years ago and once the swelling went down it was on, fish all morning and lay on the couch with em propped up all afternoon.:biggrin
Hope you have a speedy recovery with both.
wowww, yo lucks sounds like mine
I had an orthopedic Dr tell me once the lower leg, ankles and feet are by far the hardest places for healing to occur due to circulation. I'm pretty sure circulation issues in the legs go along with a lot of diabetes cases. I feel for you. I've had terrible ankles all the way back to my high school football days.
Man I hate to hear that. Hope you heal quickly.
Thanks guys. I go to orthopedic Dr. Monday at 2:20 so I guess I will find out my next move. The pain is much better today. When I finish getting rid of all this extra weight it should get rid of the diabetes pretty much. At least that's what the surgeon said. I have already went from 4 blood pressure pills a day to 1. Down 81 lbs since last July . 20 lbs of that since surgery last week. I'm making a whole life style change.
It will be a good change.....hang with it my friend
Hate to hear that your luck sounds like mine also Hope you get better soon!!
Thanks!
Since you getting no sympathy from some of these gewbers I can least loan you a foot! Hope it fits. :Rofl

Darn of all the hard luck. but loosing all the weight will help. how did you lose the weight My Prayer's are with you
I had to loose 50lbs before they would do surgery . So last October I started a no carb high protein diet. Did a liquid diet some also. One of the hardest things I've ever done. But I had no choice. Live or die from diabetes. And I still got a lot of fishing to do. I started gaining weight back in 2009 when I lost my sight and couldn't work anymore. I gained 120 lbs after that. I had been around 280lbs before that and was always trying to loose weight then. But being in trucking industry as an owner-operator my whole life trying to make ends meet it was hard to slow down and take care of myself. If anyone has diabetes and even don't have any symptoms please take care of it early. I'm not but 45 years old. It's a silent killer for a long time.
Sorry to hear of your injury! Hope your recovery goes well!
