I have heard rumors there are fish there. I don't believe it. But others here do, so they can help you there. :)
As for camping, I assume you are using a camper?? I believe that Devil's Fork and JFK at the Dam are the only two places that have water connections.....and only a few sites there do. Nowhere is there sewer connections at COE campgrounds there.
www.reserveamerica.com "Plan your trip", then put in your dates and Greers Ferry Lake, AR, and you will see all the choices.
Good luck!!
Sure you will get an answer soon but you could always PM Creekslick I'm sure he would be glad to point you in the right direction. Thats a big lake with lots of traffic to be on in a kayak.:yikes
Hire Creekslick for a day. He will get you going.
Would be nice to hire someone, but the welfare check only goes so far.
Speaking of hiring, my son needs a job close to Memphis, bartender.
Pay me half, and I'll show you!!! :)
Besides, if we do one half very long, I'll probably convince myself I can do both, and then you can pay the other half too!!
Well, I hate to drink alone, and I hate more to tear up a nice man's boat motor, so I guess I'll bow out of both......
sigh.
Well the grandkids kept me busy most of the time. We stayed at the dam campground. We tried to find some trout below the dam, daughter-in-law caught 1, missed 2.
If we go back we'll plan to be to the west a bit more.
I don't know if all the campgrounds around the lake are kept up like this one is, but I like it. The grass looked like it was cut within the last 2 weeks when we got there. The mowers and weedeaters were going the next morning about 8 am.
The ones here that I usually go to need the hay baled most of the time.
Hope they're generating this weekend. Headed there now
We didn't see anyone catch while generating.
Next time we will camp in Kennedy campground, B or C section.
A couple hours after they start the bite normally picks back up. Hard for me to sit in the same spot on the bank and fish!
