Gotta get me a New Ride

Looks like my demo is heading to Missouri. 90% sure anyways!!!

Gotta rig me something new now!!! I might try me a 22 or 24' Bay boat this time!!! I have a New black H20PFC boat just like my other demo, but it only has an F150 on her. Not sure what to do now. I love the floor space the 20' side console offers, but Excel wants to give me a demo deal on their new Pad Ride Bay Pro 220, and the 22' model rates for the SHO 200!!!!! I like the looks of it Bill, motor size should hold the price down some too. Do either of them build a walleye style boat, I would love to not have to crawl up and down off a back deck when pulling cranks or longlining, don't if I don't have to.

Xpress builds an awesome pad ride Deep Vee boat. Those are usually what the walleye guys and pullers like.

Intend to have a toon built before next summer and it wont be an issue, like the way the Cat feshes out the front so its most likely a keeper as far as spider rigging and single poling.

I like that boat. How does it do in a good chop?

Mine takes wakes really well. Haven't had it out in any wind yet, but have very high expectations. Rides smoother than my old nitro did, but am going about 10-15 mph slower

The hull was basically copied from Xpress. It will be great in the Rough Stuff because of the 18 Degree Rake and Pad Hull!!! The Xpress Hull and now the Excel's is a Sweeeeeet ride when you NEED it!!!!!!! Handles 3' rollers with ease, without the pounding a Mod-V gives ya!!!!!

I can't wait to hear from MO after he takes his out when it gets tough!!! He's gonna like his more than he does now!!! :)

I'm sick of getting pounded. My boats fishes better than any I have been in but rides worse than any I have been in.

I used to say that about my old PK. Whatever you do, don't fish out of a big glass boat. I've fished a couple times with folks in nice big tin boats since getting my ranger. The up-down rocking drives me nuts. Didn't bother me when I was fishing out of tin, but I guess I'm spoiled now.

Can't beat the weight of a glass boat for sure when it comes to ride and handling, but for almost twice the money for a New one, they BETTER ride well!! :)

Are Xpress and Excel working together now????

You can pick up a used 20' bass boat in good shape with low hours for 10k. I just want something that rides good for Sardis when the wind picks up.

Sure you can but you better be able or willing to learn to work on em or you will spend a fortune at the shop. A real clean glass boat is hard to come by at the rite price but they can be had.

Tin and glass both work well. It's whatever you like, and can afford. Not many Good used rigs out there for a decent price. If there was, I'd have a lot full of em. I get rid of the good ones as fast as I can find them, both aluminum and glass.

Feelay is spot on. Aluminum is too light to not bob in waves or boat wakes. It is annoying at times but, not a deal breaker to me. For a fishing rig, especially one you would fish from week in and out, glass is a no brainer, if you got the pockets. But for me, aluminum can hit the river or small backwaters, or go fish enid or Sardis, and do all well. I weighed options and have a rig to fish, cruise to the sandbar, and hunt. It's all personal preference.

I have a 16' aluminum that I use now and plan to keep. I'm looking at adding a 20' or bigger to my fleet.

For spider rigging or what???

Pulling cranks, tubes with kids. Jigging timber, joy ride ect

I plan on building a toon for cranks and longlining too, and use my bass boat for pushing minners, lots of room and make it where you can fish from the back as well so you don't have to fight with the top getting a fish in,

I actually have a 28' toon that stats at Sardis,so I doubt the new boat will ever pull cranks unless I go to another lake. Pulling a 28' around ain't fun so it stays put. Wouldn't mind trying Kentucky Lake, TN River, ect. I'd like to have a big boat for big water. I'd say though it would probably be 60% fishing40% recreation.
