This place is dead!
Is nobody fishing or is everybody just lock-jawed?
If I wasn't so far behind in the studio, you can bet I would be out there. Right now I'm having to settle for painting a few c55s as time allows.

Really nice Doug. Let me use your boat and those fantastic cranks and I will try and bring you some fish. I promise I will try not and lose too many cranks!:Rofl Oh , and I need gas money!! I have been fishing at the dams and catching some rockfish and hybrids. Smoked these in the smoker and they where great. Brown sugar and salt brine with apple wood. Yum Yum !! Also doing some R & D on some new trolling rigs I got another patent on.

I got out in Buckhorn and Big and Little Bear this morning for a bit before the wind and lake lice got too bad.
One bass, a couple of yellow bass, one really good sized BG and one catfish that followed us home for lunch.

I haven't been crappie fishing in a couple of months, but we are running trot lines/limb lines in the Ohio river now. I'll take the camera this evening & post pics if we have anything worth keeping. Taking a camera will most likely be the kiss of death. Biggest fish so far this week has been a 7 lb. flathead.

Went out Tuesday and puled crank baits till noon along channels and across the mouth of a few bays down here on Barren. All that were awake that day seemed to be yellow bass and largemouth. This morning I stopped and bought six dozen minnows, and a friend and I were spider riggin before 6:00am. Not much changed since Tuesday, a few cats, one keeper crappie, two small ones, and all the yellow bass and white bass we could throw back. We ran out of bait before 10:00am and headed back to the ramp to call it a day. Not at all disappointed with the day, at least we had some action. Even if it included the action of me hanging over the bow taking my trolling motor prop off and untangling my line, Kodak moment I'm sure. I'm getting anxious to see the water temps and levels start dropping. Getting too old for those all night trips with the lights over the gunnels. This time of year just thankful for my garden and the tomatoes that make my lips smile.

most of the people on facebook are from around greenriver...was tring to get a greenriver crappie club started but not had much luck getting it started.

Pulling cranks has been slow but steady. The water temp just aint hot enough to really school em up. One here, one there is the norm. Some real nice big summer crops tho!!!

Well no pics but we have caught 18 in the last 2 days. Trot lines & limb lines on a 3/4 mile stretch of the Ohio river. 2 flathead, 2 blues & 14 channel cats. Biggest fish was a 10 lb. channel cat. Heading out this evening to check them again. Hoping for something BIG.
