Great trip. You going to need a larger table for round 3.

Nice! Did y'all get caught in the rain?
Nice!
I see a goo in there. You didn't maybe catch those fish in the cut leaving Benoit going to Grand Bayou? About the time it gets good. LOL
NICE!!!!!! X2!!!! very nice Mr. Pat keep 'em sweating!!!!! i picked up a few in Henderson yesterday also but i know a man with your ability to locate them could do real real good i was south also message me I'll give you more details if your intrested!!! keep rippin them
No thanks not interested, no offense intended.
We like to work for them and figure them out on our own. Been doing it that way for a long time.
Guess I'm old school, the old timers wouldn't give information to us young guys back then. And I'm glad they didn't because it made better fisherman out of us.
Forced us to study water condition and fish habits and patterns, keeping note of those things we learned over the seasons.
I guess it puts taking a little pride into the sport of it for us instead of chasing reports
cause most people into sac-a-lait fishing know that, one day you can fill the box in a particular area and not catch a fish the very next day in the same place.
Which leads to the greatest lesson learned. WHY. Why on one day and off the next day?
Once we figure that out, we are on our way to becoming a better fisherman.
And to all: catching is the reward of fishing. Again, no offense intended
OK, time to get off my soap box.
YES!! I do understand and that is where i hope to be some day!! i have been chasing these fish for about 7 years and i dont know much but most of what i do know i have taught myself and hopefully that will make me a better fisherman one day!! i know going out and not catching a single fish has taught me to pat attention to what i am doing when i do catch and what the water is doing and temp you know what i mean!!! i do take alot of pride in posting a picture on here but i think i mess myself up sometimes because i give out to much info but im learning.. baby steps like they say. but it was good seeing you and your wife in benoit a few weekends back never said anything because i wasnt sure if it was you or not but the boat was hard to miss well have a good one looking forward to more pics later!!!!!!!
No claims to knowing here
Just applying things learned from year to year
Learn something almost on every trip, that I haven't figured them out yet
That's what I'm talkin bout ! Them old timers were something . They would always make up some outrageous story how they would catch sacalait and we believed them up until we started figuring a few things out .
Had a guy moved over here from Texas that had a conversation with one of these older guys . The guy from Texas was relaying to me how the older guy had explained to him how to catch these sacalait . It was a story I had heard 100 times and I knew exactly where that story had came from . All I could do was laugh and the guy from Texas couldn't figure out what I was laughing about . Lol
Great catch Mr Pat !
Wait a while, Swamppers. You saw Pat at Benoit. Now that says a lot, wink, wink,(LOL). Ya'll invading my territory now. I thought ya'll liked fighting all the couyons at Henderson. I have to find out what kinda boat Pat drives and I'll wait at the landing and follow him around. That would make his day, Hehehe. All jokes aside, I know how it is. I used to bring my wife's uncle with me, for 20 or more years. One day I decided to go solo and guess who shows up in MY hole with another guy. I learned my lesson the hard way. Now I fish 99% of the time solo.
Nice try, this was that Benoit trip
Only fish Benoit area once or twice a year, not crazy about fishing that area
