Yes it would be nice to meet and relax a few minutes or so before going out to fish. I don't go up that way often enough to know where would be good. Make some suggestions and we'll see who wants to. I'm in for it. :highfive
I've only been to Wylie twice. Fished it one time and drove over it another. Lol. So other than getting a hotdog at the gas station right there at the ramp I wouldn't know. Anywhere close to the ramp is fine.
There is a seafood restaurant in Rock Hill that was very good the two times I ate there. It is at 2124 Celanese Rd. Only problem is after I ate there I needed a nap. Here is the menu: Menus for The Mayflower Seafood Restaurant - Rock Hill, SC
Not sure I will make it for this one or not.
They is a fancy eatin place right at the ramp. I think it is TBones? There is a McDonalds there also. Just up the road where 274 and 49 cross is a Wendys. A few more in the area but dont know the names. Someone get a place picked out and post it. I am proud to let my buddy newly buy my supper and hand me that first place prize afterwards. Some one pick a spot and time as soon as you can. As the movie said YOU PICK IT AND THEY WILL COME.
T-Bones is at the ramp. There are a couple fast food places at the intersection at Wal-Mart.
Wendy's is fine with me. I think their meat taste more real than mcdonalds. Haha.
OK I just did a search for places to eat in order of distance from BB bridge. Jersey Mikes sandwiches is real close( just past the gas station near the bridge. Next is Bojangles, then Wendy's then Subway sandwiches
Wendy's probably has more selection and probably more parking ( read that as more windows to keep an eye on the boats)
I don't care where we eat.
If you get a hold of Lake Wylie Bait and Tackle you can park there and eat at Lake Wylie Pizza next door. They're right next to the gas stations there and have good deals on tackle and bait for those of you needing that. Just a thought. Dont eat at Tbones, good place for a beer and scenery, not food.
Wherever is fine with us. Best place to see the boats. Y'all pick it. But hey when you got a bigdawgg that bites we can go anywhere. Haha.
I agree with Newly, anywhere is fine with me, cause if I get hungry later I always carry the vienna sausages, sardines and crackers. Will have fish close to Newly to get some KK for dessert!! Bring a couple dozen Newly!!!

We will have a boat check before we take off. Any contraband ( special bait , dynamite Krispy Kreme , and such ) will be removed and placed in my care, Bring 3 dozen newly !!!!!:biggrin
The Wendys has a big parking lot. It is bout mile and half from bridge where 49 and 274 cross. Not sure on others. But hey I leave it to you guys. newly and Biggdawg is buyin mine. Better decide soon so we can get on the same page.
You got that right spot. We always gonna eat if nothing else at our get togethers.

Hey you Lappers. Those Tar Heel guys got it going on. What we got to match all them do-nuts and sardines ? Ya'll being to quite on this thing. Lets see what we got to burn em down with. Give em some flak on this or go down whining. I claim the right to Remus blue minners since he is eatin high on the hog at church Sat. p.m. Looks like he would bring us some samples before we cast off.
I will pitch in a couple dollars also Newly so we can get em a couple of jr frosty's to go with their jr hamburgers off the dollar menu. We can at least do that cause we are gonna take the $$$ for big fish and trophy coming back up north of the state line!!!:highfive
Hey did anybody get the trophy yet ? Oh well guess they get do-nuts and sardines for the prize. If newly dont eat em all that is.
hey John you could get um some chicken gizzards and crow feet == well maybe just the crow feet the way they are crowing now they gizzards gonna be wore out by time the fishin starts and when they get beat they can eat the crow goin back up I85 :Rofl :Rofl :biggrin
hey yall tar heels == dont throw none them crow feet toe nails out on the hi-way till you get back across the stat line == its against the law to litter in sc
Dang Remus why feed'em so good, they already talking about eating sardines and beanie weenies. Those guys will be plum tuckered out before they catch the first and only fish. We don't want to have to tow them back to the landing after getting sick.:Rofl
No way would we litter anywhere, but we do believe in recycling. Gonna make chum out of those scraps(and crow nails) after cutting off fillets of those SC slabs. :Rofl Us Tarheels do eat a lot so we can have the energy to catch them fish one right after another, it is the way we get our upper body exercise!:fish

You can see they eat a lot but not catch many to work out the large upper and lower body. I seen pictures of some of em. Eatin is the number one thing they can do. We never challenge em to a eatin contest.
Them Turd Heels is going to be tough to beat!
We need to see drivers license Saturday. Make sure y'all aren't recruiting some of those Georgia heavy hitters down there.
How about live bait? It's there any where nearby selling minnows after 7 pm?
Will check on the bait thing for ya.
There is a tackle store right near the ramp. I think someone mentioned it in one of the previous post. If any one has info about this store or other bait store close to the ramp please post it very soon.
Went back and came up with this. May call em and see what Sat. hours are.

What he said, there's Lake Wylie Bait and Tackle (aka Hunt Fish Paddle) and there's a gas station not far up up the road in NC along 49 that sells minnows. I would suggest HFP since the U-turn required to get to the gas station is not an easy one. Those are the only two that I know of right in the area.
Thanks! Pretty sure hunt fish paddle closes at 7, but I'll check the others out.
