Crank Bait Redemption!!!
Got out for a few hours the afternoon/early evening of 5 Jul and actually managed to find some crappie this trip. Mad Cow and TN Shad were the consistent producers for me. Found fish in 19 FOW. The one thing I'll say for this technique is that the fish are all good quality fish! Man they were nice. If I had found this spot sooner I'm pretty sure I could have stayed on them and caught many more. Found about a 1/4 mile stretch that I would pick up one or two fish on each pass. It was a blast to finally get on them. Didn't fill the cooler up because I found these late just an hour before dark, but they were good fish, had a total of 7 big Whites.

Congrats on a nice group of fish.

Maybe I can get on them tomorrow. Going to try out my new Okumas at Logan Martin. Will report good, bad, indifferent.

Bob I was hoping I could get out with you soon and we could both figure some things out. However those home projects are still kicking my butt. I have 5 going on right now and have a contractor coming out today to add a room on my house. Maybe you will have it all figure out by the time I get to go again and I can just sit back and enjoy ha ha.

Bob, how'd your batteries hold up? I did get to pull for about two hours this past sat. Early..never caught keepers...but still tweaking ...just don't think Weiss fish set up in groups where this works? I think it's going to take some time to figure out .Next weekend will start putting out brush piles...for the fall .

CS keep up on the home projects and keep the Mrs happy so you can come out and play. Lol
LB56 the batteries were doing just fine for all of my trips so far. Most I've run them is about 6 hours of hard fast trolling with cranks at 1.6 - 2.0 mph. I have a 24 volt 80lbs system on the boat. (Terova)
PW1 I've noticed with the Okuma's that I'm not able to cast them near as good as the cabela reels, but they sure are nice when a fish is on!

Great jod Bob!!! Which lake did you catch them at Big G or Wheeler?

Bob when all my projects are done we need to spend a few trips just sinking brush
