Tracker Wheel Bearings
Hey guys, I have a Tracker 190tx boat and trailstar trailer. I just noticed yesterday that the tires on the trailer are a mess. Cracking, tread separation, etc. This throws out fishing this weekend. Anyway, when I fix the tires I figured I would replace the bearings on the axle also. Surfing the net gives no info on the size of bearings I need for this trailstar trailer. Does anyone have a similar trailer and know what size bearings I need to get ??? Thanks.

call bass pro shop thy helped me

You live close to petersburg? Agri supply would have everything you need at a good price too.
-
Thanks guys, I called Bass Pro and the service department there looked it up for me. If anyone needs the sizes in the future.
They are:
Inside Bearings are 1-5/8"
Outside bearings are 1-1/16"
-
Don't forget to replace the seals too.

Just pull your old bearings and knock out the races....Take them and your old seals with you to any automotive parts store and they can cross reference the numbers on them and match them up. Use a good marine grade lithium grease to pack them.
-
-
Also use marine grade grease. Not all greases the same. I pack mine twice a year, Remove front and clean often. But forget the battery water.:dono I x2 on take then to an auto parts store. I went to NAPA. Save the receipt, it will have the part numbers on it for future use.

I am also a firm believer in bearing buddies. Top them off with a couple shots of marine grease twice a year and you are good to go.

Wana pull your hair out? I got a venture trailor that has metric bearings- found 1 place on va coast that's got em or can order from venture!:hatchet

Almost all bearings are measured in metric and coded. The code is laser or acid etched into the race. Understanding the code helps make bearing selection easy.
Example:http://www.bearing-king.co.uk/images...re-bearing.jpg
The bearing type design that you need is a single row deep groove ball bearing with the following dimensions and suffix.
d = 25mm
D = 52mm
B/T = 15mm
Result = 6205
The bearing also has a seal either side of the bearing.
2RS1 = 2 Rubber seals
2RSR = 2 Rubber seals
DDU = 2 Rubber seals
2Z = 2 Metal shields
ZZ = 2 Metal Shields
Result = 6205 2RS1

Make sure u don' t overtighten the spanner nut just get it past the hole enough to get the cotter pin back in. Too tight will smoke your new bearings

Mike can you change out the whole hub. I did that to mine got them from Northern tools. Napa has the bearings to fit them.

I bought a complete hub-in-a-box kit from Bass Pro, everthing you need to fix it up on the roadside ( except spindle...lol ) i haul it every where i go, just in case. I like that it comes in a neat little plastic carry box.
