going to cypress bend at the end of july......staying at cypress bend resort......living large....ain't life good?????

Happy for you Vet....life is what you make it.....and you are doing a pretty good of making it nice for your family.....

I hope the bite is better than it has been this past week...slooooowwww!

Randy,that's where I stay when I go to Toledo...cabins are nice,park is clean,and u can bring pets...It would be a good place to have a Spring Gathering;-)

Marty, I stay at the cabins quite often. Haven't been to the resort though. Alternate between there and San Miquel. I thought about a gathering there, but not enough cabins like San Miguel. They stay booked up most of the time, so I book months in advance. Have booked first week in August and week of Thanksgiving there so far.

Cypress Bend Resort is probably the finest place to stay on the Louisiana side. Food in the restaurant was exquisite. I fished with Maurice Jackson, guide, about 3 weeks ago. The brushtops produced fine slabs including a couple over 2 pounds. I hope you enjoy your fishing and stay. Great crappie fishing right now. Bring something like a wrap and have some cold water to drench it in. Some of the best fishing prior to the last rains occurred between 10 am and 2 pm...just the pattern last week from what I understand.

Thank you for the report....that seems to be the theme of the reports from there lately....plan on fishing the pendleton bridge...and around the island near the golf course...will enjoy each and every minute....and i will catch any...I mean any kind of fish........

3 days. Seems like it takes so long to get here. Then it comes and goes so quickly. :). :(
