Has anyone try this sealer, and how far does a can go:bash
I bought a can for my plexiglass shed roof. As far as I'm concerned its a total waste of your money.
Agreed. I tried a bit and it did not seal any leaks. Better to get the fiberglass or aluminum repaired correctly.
if it is a majorly thin haul like a canoe you could try a marine grade epoxy patch. or hippo patches sold at "gasp" cabelas in the canoe kayak accessories. if it thicker aluminum like on a jon boat get it welded a welding fabrication shop or any metal shop should be able to do it. by the way don't use a propane torch to weld that jb weld type welt stick on a thin haul like aluminum canoes the aluminum will melt out from under the weld. found that out on a sports pal square stern i use to have... it would be a shame to wreck a boat when all you had to do is a epoxy or fiber glass patch or even have it welded.. epoxy does not last forever just remember it!
I had always thought those commercials were a bunch of BS.:biggrin
Flex Seal didn't work for my application either. Total waste of money.

Thanks for the info. I'll solderer it , but they want $85 for the solder
those adds make it look good , never order them . a under coat sold for cars would work better or a rhino liner . for aluminum a good welder will be best .
I had to flex my wallet open to pay for it,wish i could go back to the store and have them flex my money back. I sure hope the john boat had a life vest.
Worked for me , I used it to seal my landing net to keep hooks out of the thread lol RR
pesce, great pic in your signature. I have pics that I made in October, 2010 in Teton from the exact spot. Not nearly as green in Oct. Some of the prettiest scenery I have ever been lucky enough to witness
Thankfully I never ever bought any nor their commercial! I just knew nothing would do what they try to say it will!
The Tetons are the most beautiful sight you can every lay your eyes on, i just wish i had a rod and reel with me, from this view i was amazed. It reminded me of Forest Gump movie when he told Jenny i didn't know if the sky was up or down, with the reflection of the mountain that we saw.
The morning we were there, there was an eagle harassing ducks on the river and a moose in the background just off the river bank.
I have also bought this worthless stuff but you live and learn and I have learned NOT to buy again!
How would you like to have a extra large cabin on the point and waking up everyday to this scenery, i would think i died and went to heaven.:peacesmile:peacesmile
I read your story about Kutter and it brought tears to my eyes, what a dog will do for his master. I lost a brown lab miss him and he love to hunt coko, now i have benelli boy. Thats one of my five grandchildren with him in the pic.
We have so many pics of the Tetons there no room to post them all, unless i change my signature everyday.
So flex seal is like fizards bad news
I used a product called "Gluvit" to seal the rivets on my 53 yr old Starcraft.
It's made just for that.
The stuff worked great, really tough, I couldn't sand it off.
