The da'ducer apparatus® L-model Basic 4' weighs right at 8lb...
Below is the Quick Attach Bracket for the 4' model...(the 3"x 7" plate I'm measuring in the pic is the plate that would mount to the boat)...

Thanks Rickie...
Rickie, do you have a picture of the da ducer in the stowed position on a boat?
Sorry to be so much trouble.
Looks like rickies got something he's hiding behide that blue tarp.Could it be a new invention????????Itnonono:dono:yikes:yikes
I was wondering the same thing. Sneaky little devil.
Kosmo, I think you may be onto something!
Will the da ducer work with my trolling motor in the stowed position? I really don't want to put it on the starboard side. It would replace the present stick.

Here's the folded height (stowed)...with the Quick Attach bracket...

It looks like the shaft of da'ducer apparatus® will fit under the Terrova shaft with both stowed...
If da'ducer apparatus® is under the Terrova like your xducer stick is now... I don't think da'ducer apparatus® could be deployed without unlatching the stowed Terrova 1st...and then picking the Terrova up enough to allow da'ducer apparatus® to deploy...
(da'ducer apparatus® deploys just like a regular "scissor type" trolling motor...Fortrex, Maxxum..etc)..
Rickie
So whats behind tarp #1
I feel like hes ignoring us Kosmo.
Rickie, Did you ever get the bow 360 adapted to work on your apparatus?
What size you need? Did you try that online metals.?
I did look at that ...but they didn't list the size I needed in small enough guage...
I just placed a small order from Metals Depot (.com) ...they do carry what I think will work...
I still have to adapt da'ducer apparatus® to fit the larger square tubing...
Bob...are you going to get the bow 360 in the near future so that you can be my guinae pig when I get da'ducer apparatus® ready for 360 prototype...??
Rickie
Rickie, I am probably not going to be doing anything for a couple of months.
Right now I am still weighing my options.....and am a little conflicted about whether to go with the bow or transom mount after some of the things Kosmo has brought to light.
If you get one ready for testing, let me know.....thanks, Bob
I think that it would be nice if rickie could modified his da ducer thingy ,so a person could move it from the front to the back of the boat.that would be the ideal application for the 360,because there are times that it would work best on the bow and other times a transom mount would be best.
Kosmo can you point out some "for instances" as to the bow or transom mount locations for the 360?
Yeah, maybe the quick disconnect for the apparatus could be set up at more than one location..........I was also trying to figure out if this was feasible for the transom 360.
Kosmo, I seem to remember something about the offset being different in the software for the bow vs the transom 360?
BobB can you expound on the difference in the offset between the transom and TM 360? I am planning on using Rickies apparatus and the TM 360 on it at the transom.
Unless it won't work that away.
Rickie I really like the way you have the base plates pinned, least it appears that way in the photo.
Redge, I was asking Kosmo that question......I thought I remembered something about the position offset working differently on the transom 360 than it does on the bow 360.....not sure if that is the case.
Redge, you already catch more slabs than I do, so why are you worrying about an offset. You already have a 2:1 on me.
This is from my transom mount 360.the circle with the 20ft. offset is what I chose. You can see my trolling motor in the scan just past that circle.http://i826.photobucket.com/albums/z...pskltclllm.jpg
Rdjj always trying to catch more fish!! Does your 360 offer the offset?
Redge, Yes I have an Off Set, but my GPS receiver is only 3' for my TM. You may not be aware but if you have the 360 hooked to an SI unit, you can use it for DI and SI. I have not set it up that way to see how good the images are. I would have to change setting every time I wanted to go back to my transom SI xducer ..... because as you know I only have one 998 on my boat and use a TS2 switch. But if a person had a bow and console unit that might be pretty cool. dj
Rickie, I assume that I need to still select the SI xducer after I replace it with the XTM 9 WIDE DI 20 T ? I need the 2d for depth when the 360 is "ON" and it also has a slit screen 2d/360.
I have done a little more research about the offset with the 360.
With the bow 360, the offset is backwards......I guess assuming the 360 is on the front and you are fishing from the back.
This would be a problem if wanting to put the bow 360 at the back of the boat....and wanting to use the offset for correction.
The transom 360 offset is forward. Assuming the 360 is on the back and you are fishing from the front.
I guess the software engineers assumed we are always going to put the bow 360 on the bow and the transom 360 on the transom instead of just giving us a Forward or Backwards choice in the software.
I have requested a software change on a couple of other forums.
BobB, with the 360 TM on my 998c SI you are correct, it can only be set backwards. But when I read the manual all the "off set" is for is to correct the GPS receiver location error so it is easier to determined were the waypoint is actually at. If your GPS is at the rear of your boat and you mark a waypoint that is under the TM xducer, the waypoint is set where the GPS receiver is located, which could be 20' to the rear on a big bass boat. Is this not correct? On my boat the GPS is only 3' from the TM. dj
I don't have the 360 yet, but I think others are using the offset to offset to your fishing position, so what you see on the 360 represents the actual direction from you.
See some of the shots Kosmo has posted where the offset ring from his transom 360 shows the actual position of the bow of the boat....especially useful when vertical fishing or trying to determine where to cast to a target.
In your case, if the 360 and HS gps is at the bow and you are fishing at the bow, you already have the correct perspective.
Correct...still select "Hi Def SideScan" as the Transducer Select setting.....
It is my understanding that when the 360 is turned on, the unit shuts off the SI piezo channels in the HDSI...but still uses the 2d piezo you have selected in the 360 menu...
So, there shouldn't be any different settings than if you were using a single HDSI xducer and the 360...
Rickie
BobB, Kosmo ..... must just be setting this 360 as if the GPS is at the bow no matter were it is located. The 360 TM on my 998 doesn't draw a circle, it has a line back the distant of the off set and a dot. If you look on page 33 of the 360 installation Guide you will see what I'm talking about.
