Deep water crappie
Hello fellow crappie anglers,
I just have a question for you guys, I was fishing yesterday and I found a 70 foot hole that was showing a ton of fish at 30 foot. The question I have is how do I get a lure or minnow down that deep, also do anchor down or do I just drift. Thanks for reading my post.

I would anchor in a place that would let me drift to the edge of this hole. My method for fishing this would be to put on a jig under a slip float.

PM Redge - he routinely catches em deep at Lake Tenkiller, OK.

Welcome aboard!
Fishing that deep for me usually means vertical jigging no bobber, Just gotta know how much line you have out. Just takes practice. I have a few reels that 1 handle revolution is 30". Just turn backwards desired number of turns.
I jig for walleye at that depth on a regular basis, 8' Rod. two rod lengths on line, then 2 reverse cranks and I am at 21' start a bit shallower and work your way down.
