Your gonna like it! Some real peace and solitude on the water. Deffinately fabricate you a mini stick it pin. Does it have an anchor trolley? If not get ya one made up it helps a ton. Can stick it and pretty much fish a 360 just by changing where you are staked off. Bunch a good fellers on the jax kayak fishing forum. Dont overlook the small creks on the river either.
LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE IS GOING TO HAVE SOME FUN:fish
Been looking at some myself. Which model Pelican is that? I like the looks of it.
I bought a sit in Pelican Angler from Academy Sports for my grandkids B4 I knew anything about Yaks. Still don't know much, but know I want a sit on top.
super nice............I want one
Wanting one myself.
What? No Motor?
It's a RAM-X. Mike, I have a stick pin but it's 10 foot long. How long do you recommend it to be? Going to Acadamy sports today for the anchor trolly. It's been many, many years since I've been in a kayak. Hope I don't flip it. :yikes
Looks nice Russ, Pelican seems to make some good stuff. I just ordered their version of the extreme cooler like the Yeti but cheaper.
Real nice Russ, lots of luck with it.
Oh and a piece of pool noodle on it in case I drop it. I have a 1/2" fiberglass dowell from grainger for mine.
Thanks for the info. Mike. Made my own trolly like they show on youtube for about $10. I have the same dowel from grainger just need to cut 5' off it.
Hopefully you ran it from end to end. Makes it easier to swing boat around to reposition. And get ya a butt cushion they make for treestands for about 10 bucks at walmart, helps immensely.
Oh my gosh! Wheres your legs gonna go?? Your a tall man1
Went out this morning to try out the kayak. A little shaky at first but got settled in and it was fine. Kept the seat side up. Thinking about putting stabilizers on it though. Next trip will be to Guana Lake to see if I can get on to some trout and reds. Linda, surprisingly there is plenty of leg room.

What if you would turn over how u gonna get out for gods sake? Scary
Welcome to the fleet. You gonna love it.
Thanks RR & wilbur. Well here's the finished yak. Put it in the neighbors pool and what a differance the stabilizers make. Headed to Guana Lake Monday.

My brother bought one this year, he loves it. He goes to smaller ponds and lakes and says they have fish stacked on top of each other just waiting on you to drop em a line. lol Enjoy
Ya might want to shorten them up some. A big red or trout will hit them like a piling and be gone. Plus it looks almost as wide as some of the mosquito ditches in Tomoka and Palm Coast. About a foot out should give you plenty leverage and be able to swing your rod around.
They stick out 2 3/4 feet. The paddles just miss them by about 6". Went out this morning but the wind was about 10 to 15 already at 6:30 am. Only stayed on the water a little over a hour.
