Been there-done that. A fire is a trying time for a family. We had our house gutted in 1994. Lost all of our clothes, kids toys, furnishings, personal items and heirlooms, lots of my outdoor gear and my 1970 Mach I Mustang.
I just hope your insurance company is as easy to work with as ours was.

Wife had turned on stove to cook supper and got distracted outside for a few. Next thing was a bang and kitched was in full fire. Took out kitchen, lr, dining room , den and 1 bedroom. Smoked the other 2 bedrooms up.

Found a 2 br house in shelby at a very reasonable rate for at least 6 months. Contractor is gonna tear down what is left and put up a new 1500 sq ft 2 br home right back on the original site. He says he can do it in 3-4 months. We shall see. I will be posting as it progresses. Thanks to all for wishes.
