And that's the TRUTH!!!
Got to see some of the best ever. Nothing like them today.
I do not even consider what passed as music today to be music. Its more like noise pollution. I understand that in some cities if you can hear that BS over so many feet from the sorce you get a ticket. Would like to see that more often. When you drive by where I am at or in my house I don't want to have to listen to it with them.
Crosby,Still,Nash & Young
Love it.... back then the ol timers said it . Was noise pollution. Funny how life is a cycle
That hits close to home.
what you say ?:biggrin
Still sounds good though
Like Garth said I only knew of 2...... Haggard & Jones........
THE HAGG!!!!#1 in my book
Queen, Kiss, Foreigner, Stones, Waylon, Johnny Cash, and the last true country music singer in my opinion, Randy Travis. They just don't sing country no more, nothing but 80s rock in a cowboy outfit.
Oh, don't forget J. Giles Band with "Hold It Steady While I Piss On The Wall"!!!!1 Aw the good ole days!!!!!
Rock and Roll ain't noise pollution!!!
In the 60s and 70s they had music none of that hippy crap.Dont even turn the radio on in my truck.
Sure don't make music like that anymore.
Don't forget Z Z Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd. I've seen them 3 times each.
NO....NO....NO.....really old timers like....Bill Doggett, Four Aces, Carl Perkins, Chuck Berry, The Diamonds, Johnny Mathis, Sam Cooke, The Crickets, Brenda Lee, Ray Charles(especially his country & western songs), The Platters, etc, etc.........check them out (and any other year) here.....

Grew up listening to all those Shiners, absolutely wore my moms records and record player out when I was a kid.
you don't even want to know some the music I like :)
On the normal side--old time blues-Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, those types, old school rock and jam bands--the usual.
I have a broad range in music, pretty much like everything from The Allman Brothers to ZZ Top, and Allen Jackson to Waylon. As long as it's the older stuff I like it, can't stand this new crap.
Like Bob Seger said, "I like that old time rock n roll".

3 ZZ shows & 5 Skynards for me. Both are awesome live shows. We saw ZZ top in Indianapolis a couple of years ago in the Murat center which looks like a old masonic temple with a relatively small stage/seating area. I swear that was the loudest concert I ever attended.
I work with a guy that was the guitar player for Creed. Steve Engle. We was talking the other day about Black Oak and he said he was hanging out with Jim Dandy a few weeks ago.Steve has a huge collection of vintage Les Paul's.Really cool picking his brain!
For all you guys that like southern rock do yourself a favor and check out a band called Blackberry Smoke. Gurrantee you will like it.
