Dang, I can taste that all the way over here... I know they good..
Be down Thursday and we'll go get em, bring me some of them maters tho!!!!
the maters look good Scott
Fried green tomatoes, brown beans, a cucumber and spring onion out of the garden, with home made cornbread. There ain't a professional chef in the country that can compete with that meal. I get sleepy thinking about just finishing it.
Darn good eating,My maters are still a month away
Growing up, we were never allowed to fry a green one until we had our first ripe one. I guess my folks were afraid the ones we chose to fry would be the first to ripen, lol
WooooHooo. I love them fried green maters.
Yeah we have a dozen as big as my fist just begging to be fried but my old lady has sworn to kill me if I eat a green one before she gets a ripe one.
No finer eating than fried green maters, some fried squash and okra. Make a meatloaf and cornbread to go with it and I will be a happy camper.
Man they looks good. I'm bout a week away from some. Got to get just abit bigger.
I like a fried green mater and bacon sammich! I better go check my maters in a bit
Ummmmmm ummmmmmmm gooooooood!
That's what I've told my wife. We have the best garden we have ever raised growing this year. Every plant is loaded with fruit or blooms. We are getting cucumbers, kale, radishes, onions, zucchini & crookneck squash so far. Can't wait to bite into a big ripe mater. Should have them in the next 2 weeks. But I do like them fried green ones. Nothing beats fresh fruit & veggies.
