It was a better buy. I was thinking I will just refill a pint bottle to keep in boat for when needed. Any of u guys got a better suggestion ? I can't pour it all in due to when I tilt motor up when I trailer it will cause some to come out inside the cowling & I don't like that

I have a bottle that measures but you really don't need that fill you are just filling a small tank on the motor, I am ole school mixing my oil still, don't wanna pull no wanabe!!!!!!!! I used to do the same thing tho, lot cheaper by the gallon. Paid 30 bucks for a jug today. Outboard fuel is worse than Diesel, time you mix it and buy ethanol free you bumping 4.50 a gallon!!!!
I usually buy the gallons from BPS when they go on sale in the spring, but didnt see them on sale this year. However I still have some gallons and have the same issue with oil spill over when the motor is tilted. I keep one of the gallon jugs in my rear storage and make sure the tank is about 3/4 full when I launch.
Thanks guys, yes Rees I have thought about disconnecting the oil tank but just can't make myself do it just yet
I buy mine from a local marine dealer here in town, they buy it in 55 gal drums, just take my gal jug in and they fill it to the rim for 30 bucks.
