A striped bass hit one of the middle baits I set the hook and it made a 20' circle gathering up the other 7 lines like it knew exactly what it was doing then darted back and forth a couple of times just to make sure it had them all good and tangled rolled on the surface as if to say take that and was gone leaving me with this mess. To add insult to injury I was just getting started and had caught a couple of nice fish.
Just like those strippers... give ya high hopes then leave ya all tangled up..
This is a trophy tangle. I would put that one on the wall.

That's one reason I use baitcaster reels when u hook a big fish stand up and crank him up to the top of the water as fast as u can it will u a lot! !!!!!!
Had one break a pole at Dardenelle a few weeks ago .. He took it from the front of the boat to the back of the boat in a BLUR!!
That is what a spider rigger calls a Cluster. World class one you got there too. That's why I tie lots of extra rigs, and why C and C sell tons of them. :)
While your cutting all that mess out you have plenty of time to tell all stripers in the lake about their ancestors what and you would like to do to them
You couldn't untangle that. Ha what a mess.
With the bite your on...you may want to tone it down a lil to like one hook per pole and maybe six rods. I know I would after a mess like that.

Looks like you ain't no amature. I would have cut that mess off and fixed it at home too. My nerves can't handel more than four poles out at a time. DP
That's a Jim Dandy tangle!!! Had white bass tangle a few but nothing like that!
I just cut the line and order some more minner critters. I figure that every line has $2.00 on the end of it. I have 8 hours to fish every 3 weeks. the time it takes to untangle all of that is not worth it.Quote:

Been there done that. Try it sometime pulling cranks with 100' of line out and one gets all 6 lines

Kind of reminds me once when I was trying to start the lawn mower. After I cranked and cranked till I was exhausted I said "dang it" and my 3 year old daughter who was watching all of this says, "momma says sh**" (when the lawnmower wouldn't start for her) I had to laugh out loud, because its not something her momma has a habit of saying, I guess the pressure just got to her.
